Schedules of Controlled Substances: Temporary Placement of Bromazolam in Schedule I
introducedamendedThe Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration is issuing this notification of intent to publish a temporary order to schedule 8-bromo-1-methyl-6-phenyl-4H-benzo[f][1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a][l, 4]diazepine (commonly known as bromazolam), including its salts, isomers, and salts of isomers whenever the existence of such salts, isomers, and salts of isomers are possible, in schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. When it is issued, the temporary scheduling order will impose the regulatory controls and administrative, civil, and criminal sanctions applicable to schedule I controlled substances on persons who handle (manufacture, distribute, reverse distribute, import, export, engage in research, conduct instructional activities or chemical analysis, or possess) or propose to handle bromazolam.
