The Commission accepted, 4-1, the Settlement Agreement filed August 7, 2025 among Entergy Louisiana, LPSC Staff, Sierra Club, Walmart and the Southern Renewable Energy Association in Docket U-37425 ("Application for approval of generation and transmission resources in connection with service to a single customer for a project in North Louisiana"), authorizing construction of generation and transmission to serve Meta's data center at Holly Ridge. Motion by Commissioner Campbell, seconded by Chairman Francis; Skrmetta and Coussan concurring; Lewis objecting. Press accounts describe the resources as three combined-cycle gas units of about 2,262 MW plus a 500 kV line and substation.
