On Sept 10, 2025 the Saline Township Board of Trustees voted 4-1 to deny rezoning 575 acres for the Related Digital campus later announced as Oracle and OpenAI's Stargate site. On Sept 12, 2025 the landowners and Related Digital affiliate RD Michigan Property Owner I sued in Washtenaw County Circuit Court alleging exclusionary zoning.
