Inflation Reduction Act - Drug Pricing Provisions (H.R.5376)
enactedFirst-ever Medicare drug price negotiation authority. Starting in 2026, Medicare can negotiate prices for 10 high-cost drugs, expanding to 20 by 2029. Also caps insulin at $35/month for Medicare beneficiaries and requires manufacturers to pay rebates if prices rise faster than inflation.
