MPSC U-21990: ex parte approval of DTE Electric's contracts for the Saline Township Stargate campus (1,383 MW)

On Dec 18, 2025 the Michigan Public Service Commission gave conditional ex parte approval to DTE Electric's supply and storage agreements with Green Chile Ventures LLC, an Oracle subsidiary, for 1,383 MW at the Saline Township campus, and denied requests for a contested case. Terms: a 19-year minimum and an 80% minimum bill; DTE bears costs it cannot recover from the customer; the data center is curtailed first in an emergency; DTE to file a large-load tariff within 90 days. DTE filed Oct 31, 2025, the day after the Stargate announcement. The Attorney General's rehearing petition was denied Mar 27, 2026; an appeal to the Court of Appeals was pending as of October 2026.
