PUCO order approving AEP Ohio data center tariff (case 24-0508-EL-ATA)

Opinion and Order of July 9, 2025 approving the stipulated data center tariff for Ohio Power Company (AEP Ohio): customers of 25 MW or more pay for at least 85% of contracted capacity, with a four-year ramp, an eight-year minimum term and an exit fee, over the objections of Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, the Data Center Coalition and the Ohio Manufacturers' Association Energy Group. Rehearing denied September 3, 2025; OMAEG appealed to the Ohio Supreme Court (2025-1458) on November 3, 2025.
