Methodology
Revolving door data is derived from the LobbyView dataset (MIT/NSF, CC-BY-4.0). A lobbyist is flagged as a former government official when their lobbying disclosure indicates a covered position in government. Covered positions include senior executive service, political appointees, and congressional staff above a salary threshold. This data does not capture all government-to-lobbying transitions — only those disclosed in LDA filings.
